TURKIC WORLD UAV COMPETITION: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

"Autonomous Mangala Challenge"

1. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND TEAM STRUCTURE

  • Participating Nations: Teams from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, TRNC, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
  • Team Structure: Each nation participates with 4 core members (A1, A2, A3, A4).
  • Hardware & Logistics: All UAV hardware, controllers, and equipment will be provided by the organization at the competition venue.
  • Requirements: Teams are only required to bring their own laptops for autonomous software development and strategy management.
  • Saka Materials: Each UAV is provided with 4 Sakas (weights).
  • Registration Deadline: April 20, 2026.

2. UAV HARDWARE AND MEMORY SPECIFICATIONS

UAVs belong to the sub-500g category. Standard package includes:

  • FC: SpeedyBee F405 Mini Stack.
  • Navigation: M10N GNSS.
  • Mechanism: MG90S Micro Servo for sequential release.
  • Radio Controller: EdgeTX - Radiomaster Pocket.

3. COMPETITION AREA AND PHYSICAL PLATFORM

  • Surface: Black asphalt.
  • Pits & Treasuries: 12 small rings (200cm) and 2 oval treasuries.
  • Visual References: While surfaces are black, the top rims are blue and green.
  • No-Fly Zone: A rectangular boundary located 200 cm away from the waiting/lift-off/landing zones marks the edge of the permissible flight area. Area outside this rectangle is No-Fly Zone (NFZ).
  • Flight Altitute: During the mission 120 - 240 cm above ground level is accepted.

4. MATCH RULES AND PASS MECHANISM

The tournament follows the "Great Steppe League" format (30 turns total). UAVs take off from and hover over the safety zone as the match starts. Upon completion of the team's final autonomous task, the operator shall land the UAV within the designated safe zone.

Pass Protocol: A turn is relinquished and passed to the opponent either by:

  • Manual Pass: Pressing the "Pass Button" on the interface before the time expires.
  • Automatic Pass: The expiration of the designated time limit (10s for digital, ~40s for autonomous).

Bonus Moves: Based on Turkic Mangala Rules if last stone of a move drops in treasury a bonus move is earned:

  • Bonus moves can be earned consecutively in a single turn.
  • Bonus moves earned autonomously or digitally should be played digitally by the same player.

5. ERROR MANAGEMENT AND SCORING

  • Multiple Drops: If multiple Sakas drop, the pit with the most stones is valid. If equal, the one closest to Pit 1 is prioritized.
  • Scoring: +1 for Treasury Stones (after 30th turn or match end), +20 Victory Bonus, +5 for Valid Autonomous Shots.
  • Points from Autonomous Shots (+5) are added to the team's total tournament score but do not affect the outcome of the individual match victory.
  • Safety: UAVs must remain in "Safe Airspace" (Hover) until their turn.
